2. Have him read the messages

For the iOS operating system the tool is called VoiceOver. To turn this option on or off, you can use one of these alternatives:

a) Ask Siri to do this: “Turn VoiceOver on / off”

b) Press the side button three times, in the case of an iPhone with Face ID; otherwise you have to press the start button three times

c) Go to Control Center by going into Settings / Accessibility / VoiceOver and there the option is on or off.

4. Sleep mode

The mobile can be used to establish moments of rest. In Apple’s case, the Idle Time option can be enabled from the Screen or Screen Time section in Settings.

When idle time is programmed in Settings, only selected phone calls and apps will be available. The idle time applies to all devices on which Screen Time has been enabled.

In Android there is a function called Rest Mode or Bedtime that allows you to enable relaxation. Notifications will be disabled and the screen will be grayscale.

You can set times to activate at the same time every day or to turn it on and off at the time it will be used. This tool is available within Digital Wellbeing and accessed from the Settings menu.

5. Block others from using an app

There are several options for blocking access to certain applications. In the case of WhatsApp, for example, you can configure biometric authentication to log into the app. Therefore, the system will require the user’s fingerprint or face to be opened.

On an iPhone, there is also a tool called Guided Access which limits the device to a single app and allows you to control what app features are available.

To enable this option, go to Settings / Accessibility and turn on Guided Access. Then press Passcode Settings and then tap Passcode to launch the Guided Access feature.

To disable features or set a time limit, press the Side button or Home button three times and tap Options. If Options is not listed, press the Side or Home button again three times and enter the code.

6. Level a shelf or picture

The cell phone can also help level a shelf so that it fits snugly or an image to prevent it from looking lopsided. In the case of the iPhone, look for the Level option in the measurement application.

Place the phone above the surface you want to level, then move the bottom or top of the iPhone up or down to see how the degrees change. When it reaches zero, it means it is level.

To use this option, you need to download an application such as Smart Tools Metal Detector, on Android, or Alexandr Balyberdin’s Metal Detector, on iOS.

It should be noted that metal detector applications require a magnetic sensor (magnetometer). If this application is not working properly, you should check the device specifications.
