The arrival ceremony of the South American Youth Games torch took place on Thursday 7 April at 2:00 pm at the Club Atlético Adelante. It was attended by the Secretary of Sport of the Province of Santa Fe, Florencia Molinero; the Provincial Club Director, Kumei Fernández; the mayor of Reconquest, Amadeo Enrique Vallejos; the mayor of Avellaneda, Gonzalo Braidot; and the Santa Fe athletes who will compete in different disciplines at the Rosario 2022 South American Games.
During the presentation ceremony, the sports secretary, Florencia Molinero, accompanied by the provincial directors of the clubs, Kümei Fernández and Raúl Araya, explained that “the Games are a historic event that the province of Santa Fe will have, in the municipality of Rosario, and it is a project on which we have been working together for some time, the province with the Organizing Committee, the Municipality and the Nation. The event will welcome 2,500 athletes from 15 nations who will compete in 26 disciplines “.

The Torch has carried out a relay race that will be carried out by local athletescovered by the athletes from Reconquista, León Driussi, and from Avellaneda, Mateo Jara, who will be part of the Argentine delegation in the international competition, and accompanied by athletes Julio Nobile and Sebastián Giuliani.
In its first relay, the Torch arrived at Club Adelante, where the presentation ceremony took place. Subsequently, the South American fire was welcomed by students and teachers of schools No. 6044 and Rivadavia and the Colegio San José.
For the ReconquistaHOY studies, the sports secretary of the province, Florencia Molinero; León Driussi and Mateo Jara, who are the only athletes from the north of Santa Fe and will represent the country in the sporting competition. III SOUTH AMERICAN YOUTH GAMES
This edition of the South American Games will take place in the province of Santa Fe, from April 28 to May 8, with the participation of 2,500 athletes from 15 countries who will compete in a program of 26 sports. We recall that last Saturday the flame of the continental race was lit in Santiago de Chile, the previous venue in 2017, and this Monday it was welcomed in Rosario, where a tour will begin in various locations in our province.
The South American Youth Games are a multidisciplinary event reserved for athletes aged 14 to 18. In addition to sport, they have educational and cultural programs that include different activities for the participants.
The peculiarity will be that the entire competition will take place in the Parque Independencia, where the Parque Único Sudamericano, the Main Awards Center and the Fan Fest will be present, where the public can enjoy the Gastronomic Plaza, pre-sport recreational spaces, as well as an E-Sports tent (electronic games) and a tourism and cultural sector.
The sports that will be part of Rosario 2022 are: athletics, badminton, basketball 3 × 3, cycling, beach handball, boxing, climbing, fencing, futsal, artistic gymnastics, hockey 5, judo, karate, weightlifting, Olympic wrestling, swimming , figure skating, speed skating, rugby 7, skateboarding, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, archery, triathlon and beach volleyball.
